“Gilmore Girls” Revival Gets Official Title

Teased with photos on Instagram and a few scant details here and there, Gilmore Girls fans haven’t had much to go on when it comes to Netflix’s revival of the much beloved mother-daughter show.

Thankfully, we’re one step closer to knowing an airdate courtesy of Lauren Graham’s recent appearance on The Ellen Show. While the working title of the revival was Gilmore Girls: Seasons (due to each of the four episodes taking place in a different season), the official title for the revival is Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

While the title strikes me as incredibly generic, it can be called Gilmore Girls: $$$$$ for all I care as long as it means we get the Gilmore ladies back on our screens. Netflix smartly tweeted a gif poster for the new title, complete with steaming coffee.

While an official release date hasn’t been announced, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life recently wrapped filming. In the meantime, use the revival as an excuse to drink lots of coffee and junk food in preparation for the four 90 minute episodes. It’s exactly what Lorelai and Rory would want.
