With abortion as divisive an issue as ever, HBO will air Abortion: Stories Women Tell this April to explore the more personal and emotional side of the debate. Director and Missouri native Tracy Droz Tragos has profiled the individuals that are most impacted by the issue. Women with unplanned pregnancies, providers who work at clinics, and activists on both sides of the issue are interviewed to present a candid dialogue on one of the most controversial issues in America today.
The trailer gives us a teaser of this, with voiceovers from interviewees layered over snippets of women going about their lives. It sets a somber and serious tone for a discussion that’s not to be taken lightly.
Abortion: Stories Women Tell airs April 3 on HBO.
