Set in the Los Angeles music scene, Maggie (Dakota Johnson) is just trying to make it in her dream industry. With lofty ambition to be a producer, she’s currently stuck as the personal assistant for music legend Grace Davis (Tracee Ellis Ross).
Desperate to break out of more of the same, Grace enlists Maggie to help her revitalize her career, much to the chagrin of her manager (Ice Cube). Written by Flora Greeson and directed by Nisha Ganatra, the film also stars Kelvin Harrison Jr., Zoe Chao, Eddie Izzard, Bill Pullman and Diplo.
