Chance the Rapper Makes His Big Screen Debut in “Slice”

“I’m gonna tell you a story about a ghost, a werewolf, and a pretty shitty pizza place.” With that intriguing opening line, and set against electronica-heavy, 80’s-infused music, we’re brought into the world of Slice, a new film that looks equal parts mysterious and fun.

In a spooky small town, pizza delivery boys keep turning up murdered and two survivors (Atlanta’s Zazie Beets and Chance the Rapper) set out to catch the culprits. And, apparently, the caper involves ghosts and werewolves, too. The film also features Paul Scheer as the owner of said shitty pizza place, revealed in the trailer to be a gateway to hell, as well as Rae Gray and Stranger Things’ Joe Keery, who moves him and his perfectly-coiffed hair seamlessly from one 80’s project to another.

The film is directed by Austin Vesely, his first foray into feature films after directing music videos for Chance’s “Sunday Candy” and “Angels”.

While details on the film are slim right now, the trailer looks fun and intriguing. Check it out below and see for yourself when Slice comes to theaters soon.
