“Star Trek: Discovery” Is Headed Home

When Star Trek: Discovery was announced at last year’s San Diego Comic Con it was met with some skepticism.  Not only was it set to appear on the online pay channel CBS All Access, but fans were optimistic about the content and the level of importance the studio was set to give the franchise that was once saved by the iconic Lucille Ball.  But alas, the show was a smashing success and is officially coming back for a second season.

Revealed at Star Trek Last Vegas, fans learned that they will be getting the chance to own the brilliant first season on either Blu-Ray and DVD when it hits store shelves on November 13.

The first season package will feature all fifteen season one episodes – a bingeable opportunity for those who don’t currently possess a CBS All Access subscription.

The extras are absolutely insane.  From VFX to set design to composing to make-up to prosthetics to the importance of having a strong female presence on the show– this package is jam packed full of special features that add up to over two hours worth of featurettes (not even including the numerous deleted and extended scenes).
