Remastered “Pretty in Pink” Arrives on Blu-ray

With everyone stuck in their homes, we’re all looking for things to watch, stream and rewatch. And it can’t all be serious dramas and dark action films. Thanks to the Paramounts Presents line, we can enjoy a little bit of levity with the classic John Hughes film Pretty in Pink, remastered and available on Blu-ray beginning June 16.

The Paramount Presents line showcases the studio’s renowned library, presented in collectible packaging that includes a foldout image of the original theatrical poster and an interior spread with iconic movie moments. The Blu-ray also includes a new Filmmaker Focus with director Howard Deutch and the film’s isolated score track from composer Michael Gore.

Originally released in 1986, Pretty in Pink stars Molly Ringwald as Andie, a high school girl from the other side of town who gets asked to prom by popular boy Blane (Andrew McCarthy). The film also stars Jon Cryer, James Spader, Harry Dean Stanton and Annie Potts.

In addition to Pretty in Pink, the Paramount Presents line includes Fatal Attraction, King Creole, To Catch a Thief, Flashdance and Days of Thunder.
