“Grace And Frankie” To End With Seventh Season

Before there were countless Netflix Originals blaring you with autoplaying sounds, there was Grace and Frankie. Premiering in 2015, the show expanded Netflix’s original content with a cast of Hollywood all-stars set to charm the boomers into getting a Netflix subscription.

Alas, all TV shows must come to an end (except if you’re on The CW). Netflix recently announced that the seventh season of Grace and Frankie will be its last, earning the distinction of having the most episodes of any Netflix original series.

Clearly Netflix is keeping its eye on the horizon, with the show’s sixth season not even premiering until this January. The seventh season will see showrunners Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris return, as well as cast members Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Sam Waterston and Martin Sheen.

Nominated for multiple Emmy and Screen Actors Guild awards, the show helped propel Netflix into a serious contender for television, paving the way for other streaming services. Netflix has yet to announce when exactly the sixth season premieres, but be reassured for now that we get two more seasons of our favorite odd couple.
