Audiences Get Tease for “Annabelle 2”

Just in time for the Halloween season, fledging director David F. Sandberg and producer James Wan have released a teaser for Annabelle 2, a sequel to the 2014 horror hit. The film centers on a dollmaker and his wife who, several years after the tragic death of their daughter, take in a nun and several girls from a closed down orphanage. But the invitation isn’t entirely welcoming as the group soon becomes the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.

The just released teaser gives us a slight insight into the creepy (and I do mean creepy) origin of the demonic doll. It only runs for a minute, but it is just enough to make me question going to sleep at night. Wan and Sandberg appear to have their fingers of the pulse of just what will keep everyone from climbing under the sheets without checking beneath their beds at least once.

The last Annabelle cost $6.5 million to make and made ten times that. Will part two have the same effect on those who dare to be scared? Only time will tell.

Annabelle 2 scares its way into theaters on May 19,2017.
