Let the “Zero Days” Trailer Fuel Your Paranoia

Alex Gibney is known for his eye-opening documentaries that examine everything from Scientology (Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief) to Julian Assange (We Steal Secrets: The Story of Wikileaks) and everything in between.

Gibney is best when he examines hot button issues and his next film, Zero Days, looks no different. Focused on the malware worm Stuxnet, the film focuses on its use against Iranian centrifuges and that it may have originated from joint efforts between America and Israel.

The recently released trailer is full of archival footage, interviews, and graphics that explain how dangerous Stuxnet could be to our modern world since it attacks industrial control systems. “There’ve been assassinations of nuclear scientists,” says one interviewee to stress the seriousness of this invisible threat. Meanwhile a politician compares it to a nuclear weapon.

Set to appropriately dramatic music, Zero Days will make you wonder what’s really happening behind closed doors in DC. It hits theaters, on Demand, Amazon Video and iTunes on July 8, 2016.
