Disney+ Offers Peek at “The Right Stuff”

With the traditional Comic-Con a no-go during this everlasting pandemic, studios and fans are making the most of it, moving many panels and announcements to a virtual Comic-Con. As part of Comic-Con@Home, Disney+ hosted a panel and offered a peek for its upcoming original series The Right Stuff.

The scripted series from National Geographic tells the story of America’s first astronauts, the Mercury Seven, during the early days of the US Space Program. Based on the iconic bestseller by Tom Wolfe, the series is set at the height of the Cold War in 1959 when the Soviet Union dominates the space race and America fears it is a nation in decline. NASA is given two years to send a man into space (dubbed Project Mercury) and recruits seven astronauts from a handful of the military’s best pilots.

You can watch the sneak peek below, catch the full panel on YouTube and watch the series exclusively on Disney+ this fall.
