NBC's 'Smash' Hits a High Note

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from NBC’s ‘Smash’. I knew Steven Spielberg, in addition to several Broadway producers, were attached, but I wasn’t sure if it would end up being anything other than a well filmed pilot with a mediocre plot.

X-Factor Shake-Up

It is after midnight here in Los Angeles and it appears that the bloodbath at Fox concerning their on-air talent for their reality competition show 'The X-Factor' is finally over.  Host Steve Jones and judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul appear to have not made the cut.  Thus leaving Simon Cowell and LA Reid as the lone two returning faces for next year's season two.  Now the question on everyone's mind is who will replace the exiting talent?  Hopefully someone young, hot and socially relevant!

Kathy Griffin Enters Late Night Game

Kathy Griffin hit gold with her Emmy winning reality show 'My Life on the D-List.'  Now that production has stopped and Griffin lives her life away from the camera she is looking to tackle a new medium ... late night.  And who better to partner with than her 'D-List' station Bravo for this amazing endeavor.

ABC Family Renews 'Pretty Little Liars' for Third Season

It should come as no surprise that ABC Family has picked up one of its top performing shows, 'Pretty Little Liars', for a third season.  And while the pick-up was expected, the studio has asked for a whopping 24 episodes.  Granted this is the same pick-up that the series got last year, but the order rivals that of many broadcaster dramas, which is an enormous feat for the cable series.

'Dancing With the Stars' Crowns its 13th Champion

For those of you who have not been keeping up with the underperforming season thirteen of ABC's popular reality show 'Dancing With the Stars', a new winner was crowned tonight on the season finale.

NBC Gives Full Season Order to 'Grimm'

Last week things looked good for NBC's Friday freshman drama 'Grimm' as the series got a two episode script order and a spot on the network's midseason schedule.  This week NBC has one upped itself, giving the show a back nine order and moving it to the prestigious Thursday 10PM slot.  In all reality 'Grimm' couldn't have asked for anything better.
