Red Carpet: The Raid: Redemption: SXSW Film Festival 2012

Pitting a group of elite cops against the city's ultimate crime lord is nothing new.  Throw in a 30 story building and the non-stop presence of high stakes martial arts action and The Raid: Redemption becomes quite unique.  At its recent showing at the SXSW Film Festival we got a spot on the red carpet where we learned about the film, as well as the potential for a well-earned sequel.

Red Carpet: The Cabin in the Woods: SXSW Film Festival 2012

Lionsgate's The Cabin in the Woods opened the SXSW Film Festival. We were fortunate to get a spot on the highly sought after red carpet as the stars arrived for the big premiere. Through the pouring rain and gusting winds we were able to gather some information about the film, the unique shoot, the character influences, and just how big a fan of horror each of them truly is.

Kim Fowley: Discovered Original 'Runaways'

In terms of the real 'Runaways,' Kim Fowley was as pivotal to their success as the parents who banned their music. He was the iconic producer in his day, and still writes and preforms to this day. We were fortunate enough to get a few moments alone (yes, we took the risk), with Kim before the film screened at SXSW, and I must say that he is by far the most interesting interview I have ever done.

Interview: Sam Rockwell, Mike White: Gentlemen Broncos

On one side of the line we have Sam Rockwell, a man whose name is notorious for cultish films - and one that I have been dying to interview since I began this site. Moone and CHoke are his natural cup of tea, and his turn as a tranny sci-fi hero in Jared Hess' most recent comedy Gentlemen Broncos is no different. On the other side of the line we have Mike White, a behind-the-scenes man who opted to step in from of the frame for Hess and his cleverly constructed character Dusty. Many may recognize him from his participation in 'The Amazing Race,' but during this interview, he is all actor! Together they unite to provide an interview that was not only intriguing, but ridiculously funny.
