Luckily, after a lot of hard work and determination, Davis was able to wow Syracuse's Ben Schwartzwalder, an elite coach who had a knack for doing whatever it took to win, earning a football scholarship to play for the esteemed university. But even with quick speed and stellar moves, Davis was never able to overcome the color of his skin.
