When Egyptian born chemical engineer Anwar El-Ibrahim (Omar Metwally) disappears on a flight from South Africa to Washington DC his pregnant American wife, Isabella (Witherspoon) becomes worried and decides to investigate. In the meantime Anwar is transported from Washington DC to a third world country for interrogation, coming face to face with the horrific practices of torture.
