Ben Campbell (Jim Sturgess) is a confident, brilliant M.I.T. student who is looking for a way to pay for medical school when he begins to see the dollar signs hidden within the cards. Recruited by a professor (Kevin Spacey)to join a group of the school's most gifted students who score big on the weekends in Vegas, Campbell is extremely hesitant. But when Jill Taylor (Kate Bosworth) turns on the sex appeal, Campbell can't say no and finds himself sitting around a table learning the ins and outs of counting cards.
