John C. Reilly: Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

Though his resume contains a heavy load of blockbusters, John C. Reilly has never been in charge of opening up his own film. With help from Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones in Chicago, as well as Will Ferrell in Talladega Nights, there has always been a bigger name alongside that of Reilly. However, that is all about to change. On Dec. 21, Reilly is breaking new ground as he sets to open the highly anticipated comedy Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.

Over the last few years, director Judd Apatow has made a name for himself in the world of comedy. Introducing audiences to actors such as Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl, Steve Carell and Jonah Hill, Apatow has found ways to politely slip in some hard-R language and sexual references while still amassing universal laughter and appeal. In Funny People, Apatow is back at it again; though this time, he uses a clever blend of serious drama and witty dialogue to bring a wholesome, realistic story to the big screen.

Just twelve months ago, very few people had ever heard of Seth Rogen. However, like any true comedian, Rogen smashed his way onto the Hollywood scene by impregnating a beautiful woman who was nowhere near his league. From there, everything has fallen into place as the new 'it' man of comedy continues to produce hit after hit after hit. However, Rogen's work is cut out for him as he teams with the often dramatic James Franco in Judd Apatow's new stoner flick, Pineapple Express.
