I'll be the first to admit that What's Your Number? is not a good movie.  In fact, it is about as cliche and predictable as you can get.  But that isn't to say that I didn't enjoy watching Anna Faris mope around and complain about all the guys she's had sex with.  It's Anna Faris for crying out loud!

Taped with an impressive comedic cast and some witty dialogue, What's Your Number has enough “moments” to make it a bearable movie.  In fact, I've venture out to say that to a particular group it will be enjoyable, but understand that that group is pretty small in number.

The date scenes are a bit over-the-top, and the hunting through the black book is a bit ridiculous.  But beneath all of that clutter is the true comedic genius of the whole situation - all the guys that Faris' Ally Darling has slept with are complete asses.  In a way, it makes all of our terrible and embarrassing encounters seem okay—if not normal by comparison.  So, in a weird way, the film is a pick-me-up for bad one night stands.

Sure, there are some laughs here and there, and Faris acts the hell out of the movie.  But let's hold things up a bit and be honest.  This movie isn't going to win any awards and will never be viewed as a work of cinematic gold.  However, it is mildly entertaining and somewhat funny.

It is far from perfect, but in hindsight, is that what we are really after?  If taken in stride, What's Your Number is a suitable film that will surely entertain those looking for a good laugh.  Nothing more, nothing less.
