The complications and stress of planning a wedding include the pretentious detail that goes into that one big day and that damn church-sanctioned pre-marriage counseling. If there was ever a man to screw it all up, Bob Jacobs would be him. Prone to accidents and miscues at nearly every turn, Jacobs (played by Bryan Callen) is the ideal prototype for awkward men with no social education. Callen is the perfect character for Steve Blair's outrageous comedy, and he works the camera like nobody's business.

Let it be known that I Do & I Don't is hysterical in that dry, unnatural Duplass brothers kind of way. The jokes are full of wit and satire, and the gags are streamlined at an unusually high frequency. But you will likely find yourself smiling more than actually laughing as you become more amused than anything with the events that take place within the course of this hour and a half film.

Lines are crossed, relationships are broken, and that high-school cheerleading coach from hell (Jane Lynch) is back - only this time she plays an alcoholic middle- aged woman who is completely unsatisfied with her marriage and not at all ashamed to show it. She makes the film what it is, interjecting unrestrained dialogue that will make every scene an awkward occurrence. She is known for her impeccable delivery, and the film survives down the stretch thanks to it.
