I Am Number Four
When the first three of his kind are brutally chased down and killed, Number Four looks to be next. Using the alias of John Smith, our lead protagonist attempts to lead an ordinary life as a low-key high school teenager. But when he catches the eye of the quarterback's girlfriend, his attempt to stay hidden backfires.
Starring Alex Pettyfer and Glee's Dianna Agron, D.J. Caruso's I Am Number Four is a sci-fi adrenaline ride that hasn't gotten the credit it rightfully deserves. Featuring a complete cast, a unique story and some exciting action sequences, the film hits it out of the park on its way to an unforgettable final battle.
TImothy Olyphant adds a strong veteran base to the onslaught of newcomers, though I was impressed at how the younger actors performed. I'm not saying it is the best movie of the year, but it should be noted that at the end of the day, I Am Number Four is a solid film worthy of a watch.
