As a former insurance agent it is hard for me not to enjoy the ridiculousness that is Cedar Rapids.  Taking place at a statewide insurance convention the film showcases the hilarity that comes from any industry wide convention, and they do it with near flawlessness.

Ed Helms stars as Tim Lippe, a small-town insurance agent who rarely ventures outside the norm in his attempt to be the best agent he can possibly be.  But when he is selected to attend the annual get together in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, his life is turned upside down by three infectious convention veterans.

While the film does run a bit long, the chemistry between Helms and co-stars John C. Reilly and Anne Heche prevent it from veering too far off course.  Helms does a fantastic job at crafting Lippe, making him appear both vulnerable and genuine, allowing the film to verge on the edge of ridiculous, but never leave the realm of possible.

A heap of bonus features give this disc a unique one-two punch as you get a fresh look at some deleted scenes, a hilarious gag reel and some unforgettable commercials.  Together it all creates a fun-filled disc that is sure to entertain time and time again!!!!
